Unlike explosive team sports, golf is not about constant maximum intensity, but about movement quality. Every rotation, every weight shift, and every moment of impact must be precisely coordinated. This is precisely why stability, coordination, and concentration play a central role.
Added to this is the duration of a round. Many golfers spend several hours on the course, cover long distances, and repeat the same rotational movements over many years. This creates a strain that is less obvious than in contact or running sports – but which can be equally relevant for joints, back, and the musculoskeletal system in the long term.
Golf is not only a physical, but also a mental sport. Unlike many other disciplines, phases of high concentration alternate with quieter moments. This is precisely what keeps the nervous system active for long periods.
